Tunnel Projects is proud to present Mate Masie, the debut solo exhibition by Miami-based artist Najja Moon. Opening on January 18, 2025, the exhibition delves into themes of wisdom, repetition, internal dialogue, and the interconnectedness of movement and knowledge.

Rooted in the Ghanaian Adinkra symbol Mate Masie—translated as “I have heard and kept it”—Moon’s show is a meditation on what is heard, held, and repeated to foster wisdom, growth, and imagination. The symbol, which Moon has worn around her neck for the past two years, serves as both a guiding philosophy and an anchor for this body of work.
